Meet Landrie | Eagle Point, Oregon Newborn Photographer
Wendie and I attend a Mom's Group together in Eagle Point, so I was more than thrilled to take photos of her sweet new baby this past week! Wendie and her husband Russ are the sweetest family and certainly must have their hands full with THREE girls!
-First, newborn photos are best when done within the first 14 days, while the baby is still squishy and sleepy. I'm usually pretty flexible in being able to accommodate when babies come earlier or later than expected, but it's still best for us to touch base and communicate in advance!
- In almost all circumstances, newborn photography can be done right in the comfort of your own home! As long as you have a natural light source (such as a large window or sliding glass door) and the ability to possibly rearrange some furniture, we can likely do the photos in your own home, which I find is much more comfortable for recovering mamas! Other than helping to feed or rock the baby if needed, I promise you'll be able to sit down, put your feet up, and relax.
-Lastly, while typical photo sessions usually run about an hour, I block off the whole morning/afternoon for newborn sessions because we just have to go with the baby's cues. If he or she is hungry, we stop to feed. If they need to be soothed, that's just fine with me. If they're having a hard time getting to sleep, that's okay--I'll wait! Please try to plan accordingly, and budget 3-4 hours for any newborn session.
